1v1 fantasy football, built for two people
Short answer: a regular fantasy league doesn't work with only two people. With two teams, almost every good player is still on the board, so both rosters end up stacked and the draft barely matters. Draft Duel is built for exactly two people, one week at a time. You draft nine starters each in 5 minutes, and that week's real NFL games decide the winner. It's free and it runs in your browser.
Beat your rivals. Every week. In 5 minutes.
Why two-team leagues break
Most season-long leagues are set up for 10 or 12 teams. Shrink one down to two and the scarcity disappears. Every starter you could want is available, the waiver wire is full of stars, and there's no reason to trade. You end up comparing two all-star rosters, and the result says more about luck than about your picks.
How Draft Duel makes 1v1 work
- A random NFL team each round. A team is drawn and you both pick a player from that same team.
- First pick flips. First pick alternates every round, so nobody gets the top player every time.
- 90 seconds per pick. If the clock runs out, the best available player who fits your roster is picked for you.
- Nine starters, no bench. QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, FLEX (any RB, WR or TE), K and DEF.
- Standard PPR scoring from that week's real games. The higher total wins.
- Rematch and result card. When a duel ends, either player can ask for a rematch, and every duel gets a shareable result card.
Three ways to find your opponent
- A friend: send a share link or code.
- A stranger: join online matchmaking.
- Pass-and-play: two people on one phone, handing it back and forth each pick.
Fantasy football for two people, every week
Couples, roommates, siblings, two coworkers who argue about football at lunch: a one-on-one game fits a pair better than a league ever will. Each week is a brand-new draft, so you can keep one rivalry going all season or challenge someone new. Nothing carries over, so a bad week only costs you that week.
Draft Duel works in your web browser, and you can add it to your phone's home screen with no app store download.

Frequently asked questions
Is 1v1 fantasy football on Draft Duel free?
Yes. Draft Duel is free to play, with no entry fees and no paid tiers. You just need a free account.
How does 2 player fantasy football work on Draft Duel?
Each round a random NFL team is drawn and both players pick one player from it, with first pick switching every round. You each fill nine starters, and your PPR points in that week's real games decide the winner.
Can I play 1v1 fantasy football against a stranger?
Yes. Join online matchmaking to get paired with another player. You can also invite a friend with a share link or code, or use pass-and-play on one device.
How long does a 1v1 fantasy draft take?
5 minutes. You each make nine picks, and every pick has a 90-second clock.
What if the drawn team has no player who fits my lineup?
You can only draft a player who fits an open slot. If you have first pick and nobody fits, your turn passes and your opponent picks from that team. If you pick second and nothing fits, you usually sit that round out. If nothing fits for either of you, a new team is drawn. Skipped slots get filled in later rounds, and draws keep coming until both lineups are full.
Do I need an account to play?
Yes. Draft Duel needs a free account. Sign up now at draftduel.us.
