Last-minute fantasy football for Sunday morning

Short answer: yes, you can still draft a fantasy team on Sunday morning. On Draft Duel you and one opponent draft a one-week team in 5 minutes, and your starters score in that week's remaining NFL games. Draft before the week's first kickoff to use every team. You can still draft after games start, but teams whose games have already kicked off are left out of the draw.

Beat your rivals. Every week. In 5 minutes.

How late can you draft?

In most weeks the first game is played before Sunday, so a Sunday morning draft won't include those teams.

Is it too late to join fantasy football?

Not for a one-week format: every Draft Duel week starts from an empty draft, so you can join in any week of the season. Most season-long leagues are closed to new players after the first few weeks, unless a league has an abandoned team for you to take over.

A Sunday morning draft, step by step

  1. Find an opponent. Send a friend a challenge link or code, get matched with a stranger online, or pass one device back and forth with someone on the couch.
  2. Draft in 5 minutes. Each round a random NFL team is drawn from the teams that haven't kicked off, and you both pick a player from it. Every pick has a 90-second clock.
  3. Fill nine starters. QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, FLEX, K and DEF. No bench.
  4. Watch the games. Your starters score standard PPR points. The higher total wins.

Short on time? If your pick clock runs out, the best available player who fits your roster is picked for you, so the draft keeps moving. For more on the format, see our 5-minute one-week fantasy draft page.

Friends asleep? Play a stranger

If nobody in your group chat is up yet, online matchmaking pairs you with someone else who wants a duel. If it's a friend you want to beat, our 1v1 fantasy football page explains how a challenge link works.

After the games

Every finished duel gets a shareable result card with both teams and the final score. Either player can request a rematch, and next week you can draft early and use every team. The full rules are on how Draft Duel works.
