Weekly fantasy football without the season-long grind

Draft Duel is weekly fantasy football boiled down to one matchup. Draft a team for this week only, play it against one rival, and start fresh next week.

Beat your rivals. Every week. In 5 minutes.

One week, one matchup

Season-long leagues ask for 17 weeks of waiver claims and lineup decisions. Draft Duel asks for one draft. Your team exists for a single NFL week, then it is gone and a new week starts clean.

Draft in real time, in minutes

You and your opponent take turns. Each turn a random NFL team is drawn and you pick a player from that team. Every pick has a 90-second clock, so the whole draft moves fast.

Scores from real games

Your starters earn PPR points in that week's NFL games. Highest total wins. Lost? Hit rematch and run it back next week.

9 starters, no bench. FLEX takes any RB, WR or TE.

A typical week

  1. Early in the week: challenge a friend, queue for a stranger, or pass one phone back and forth.
  2. Before the week's first kickoff: finish your real-time draft. The draft must be done before kickoff.
  3. First kickoff through Monday: your nine starters score in that week's games.
  4. After the final game: share your result card and line up a rematch.

Frequently asked questions

Is Draft Duel free?

Yes. Draft Duel is free to play. There are no entry fees and no paid tiers. All you need is a free account.

How is weekly fantasy football different from a season-long league?

There is no season-long commitment. You draft a fresh team every week, play one head-to-head matchup, and the roster resets the next week. No waivers, trades or bench management.

When do I have to draft?

Draft before the week's first game kicks off to use every team. Late drafts stay open until the Sunday 4:25 PM ET kickoffs, but teams whose game has already started are left out. Scoring runs for that week's games.

How is it scored?

Your nine starters score standard PPR (point per reception) fantasy points in that week's real NFL games. The higher total wins the duel.

Can I play one-week fantasy football for free?

Yes. Every Draft Duel team is drafted for a single NFL week and the game is free, with no entry fee. Play one week, or come back every week.

Can I play every week?

Yes. Each NFL week has its own draft window, so you can duel every week of the season, against the same rival or someone new.
