How Draft Duel works
Draft Duel is free, head-to-head fantasy football for a single NFL week. Here is everything you need to know before your first draft.
Beat your rivals. Every week. In 5 minutes.
Pick your opponent
Play a friend by sending a share link or code, find a stranger through online matchmaking, or use local pass-and-play on one device.
A team is drawn
Each turn a random NFL team is drawn. Whoever has first pick takes one player from that team, then the other manager takes one from the same team.
First pick flips
A new team is drawn and first pick alternates. You have 90 seconds per pick, or the best available player who fits your roster is picked for you.
Fill nine starters
Both managers fill QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, FLEX, K and DEF. There is no bench. You can only draft a player who fits an open slot.
Draft before the first kickoff
Draft before the week's first game kicks off to use every team. Missed it? Late drafts stay open until the Sunday 4:25 PM ET kickoffs, without teams that already kicked off.
PPR decides it
Your starters score PPR fantasy points in that week's real games. Highest total wins. Then share your result card and request a rematch.
Lineup
FLEX = any RB, WR or TE.
Bad draw?
If you have first pick and nobody on the drawn team fits your open slots, your turn passes and your opponent picks from that team. If you pick second and nothing fits, you usually sit that round out. If nothing fits for either of you, a new team is drawn. Skipped slots get filled in later rounds, and draws keep coming until both lineups are full.
